Nishuane Group was retained by Heritage Architecture to conduct several assessments for parcels located within Jersey City’s Journal Square Redevelopment District. This Redevelopment District seeks to provide transit-oriented development with housing, offices, commercial and public spaces. The overall goal of this Redevelopment Plan is to return Journal Square to a flourishing central business and shopping destination.
As part of Nishuane Group’s scope of work Heritage Architecture and the Redeveloper requested the following assessments: land use analysis, relevant planning principles, general demographic analysis, market gap analysis, and Municipal Land Use Law & Case Law Review. Based upon the assessments the firm found the subject site was appropriate for high-density mixed-use development.
