The Central Avenue Vision Plan was prepared to establish the framework for the revitalization of the historic core of the City’s principal commercial corridor that was once the vibrant commercial centerpiece of this community. The Plan identifies opportunities to capitalize on the unique aspects of Central Avenue and embrace new opportunities for place-making. This Vision Plan sets the direction for a proactive planning process that includes working closely with the City’s diverse community of residents, business owners, and institutions and numerous organizations to help implement its plan. This Vision Plan represents an initial step in a comprehensive downtown revitalization process.
