The Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan- This redevelopment area consistsof approximately 8.80 acres and is located in the southwestern section of Asbury Park. The Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan is a comprehensive plan developed to addresses multitude of issues necessary to improve the character of the neighborhood. The regulations set forth and the guidelines identified stabilized the area while providing a mechanism for current homeowners and stakeholders to participate in and benefit from the redevelopment effort. This plan included strategies for continued investment in the community, development of visual guidelines and controls to improve the environmental quality of the area coupled with land use control measures necessary to revitalize the area.
